Adobe Adds Gemini Flash and AI Audio Tools to Firefly

Adobe has significantly expanded the capabilities of its Firefly creative suite by making three new AI-powered audio tools widely available to its users. The new features include Generate Music, which produces royalty-free musical tracks designed to accompany video projects; Generate Speech, which converts written scripts into realistic spoken voiceovers; and Generate Sound Effects, which creates targeted audio elements for individual scenes. To reassure professional creators and enterprises, Adobe has explicitly stated that all three of these new audio generation tools are fully cleared for commercial use.

Alongside these audio features, the company is updating the Firefly AI Assistant. The assistant now provides users with free daily generations to lower the barrier to entry for daily creative tasks and experimentation. According to Adobe, features like Create Storyboard and Create Brand Kit have emerged as some of the most frequently used tools within the assistant's ecosystem, highlighting a strong user demand for automated, brand-aligned asset generation.

To further bolster its multimodal capabilities, Adobe has also integrated Google's Gemini Omni Flash model into the Firefly platform. This model is notable for its versatility, accepting video, audio, and image inputs in addition to standard text prompts. Gemini Omni Flash joins a growing roster of external models supported by Firefly, which already includes third-party offerings from Kling AI, Luma AI, Runway, and other Google models. This integration allows creators to leverage diverse AI architectures directly within their existing Adobe workflows, streamlining the production process.
